Primary
aim of the EAPB is the promotion
of pharma biotechnology as an independant multidisciplinary science
in all European countries, especially promoting the co-operation
and scientific exchange between the various disciplines contributing
to pharma biotechnology.
Establishment
and further promotion of pharma biotechnology as a multidisciplinary
part in pharmaceutical sciences (pharmacy).

The
EAPB will promote the introduction
of pharma biotechnology in the curricula of pharmacists and other
persons in the pharmaceutical area. Special consideration will be
given to industrial needs to ensure the future of pharma biotechnology
and an optimal educational profile of the occupational groups in
this area. Criteria for the educational training and curriculi of
pharmacy students, PhD students and technicians will be put together
and presented on the political platform.

The
EAPB is a forum for exchange
of experiences and knowledge and for the promotion of the multidisciplinary
co-operation including science transfer in the area of pharma biotechnology
(e.g. conferences, workshops in co-operation with existing scientific
societies).

The
EAPB will contribute towards
the co-ordination and harmonisation of pharma biotechnological activities
in Europe.

The
EAPB proposes and promotes the
establishment of a pharma biotechnological network in Europe, especially
within the framework of European programs.

Co-ordination
of activities in the area of pharma biotechnology in co-operation

Organisation
form:

An
optimised organisation form will be chosen (e. g. charity society,
membership contributions deductible from tax).

First
board of governors:
|
 |
The
first board of governors will be elected during the foundation meeting
on 2 April 2000 in Berlin. The board of governors should be international
and consist of members from academia but also from industry (e.
g. 3 members of presidential board (1 president, 2 vice presidents),
1 secretary, 1 treasurer, and 3-6 board members).

Financial

contributions and donations. |
